This 2001 edition of the Specification is the first edition of the North American Specification, which is approved by ANSI as the national standard, approved in Canada by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and approved in Mexico by CANACERO. The 2001 edition supersedes the previous editions of the Specification for Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, published by AISI, and the Cold Formed Steel Structural Members, published by CSA. The Specification provides design methodology for determining the strengths (capacities) of cold-formed steel structural members.
