The North American Standard for Cold-Formed Steel Framing-Lateral Design, AISI S213-07, Provides design provisions for cold-formed steel framed walls with diagonal strap bracing.

Presented in this report are the findings from and extensive monotonic and cyclic testing program conducted at the McGill University to verify the capacity based design approach, the Rd and Ro values and the building height limit as found in AISI S213-07 for limited ductility concentrically braced frames with screw connections.

It is anticipated that the results of this study will be incorporated in future standards developed by the AISI Committee on Framing Standards and design aids developed by the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute
