Slip connectors allow for vertical movement of studs or supporting structure without imposing additional axial load on wall studs and other wall elements. This Tech Note covers various types of slip connectors in bypass and below-structure conditions and gives design examples for some of the most common types. It does not address the common single or double slip track.
